So I went to the Drs today. I felt totally rushed the doctor didn't even tell me my baby heartbeat and she was like on go to the lab and get your blood drawn then she was gone. When I was in the lab I asked the tech why I was getting my blood drawn and she said it was for a quad screening and said it was for Down syndrome. She was appalled that the doctor didn't tell me what it was for. Especially since I opted out of the 12 week scan because I don't want to know if my baby has anything wrong with him/her. Can anyone tell me a bit more about this screening that they did? Are there a lot of false positives? Thanks!
