So my boyfriend and I have been together for almost five years (five in October), and we've been doing the long distance thing for three of those five years. We talk and text and FaceTime all the time, but lately he's been really distant and hasn't been responding to any of my texts. 

When he did respond a few weeks ago, he said that he was sorry that he'd been gone and that things would be different. When I asked where he was, he told me that he was in jail and then rehab. Things went back to normal for a few days, we would constantly talk back and forth via text message. But this past month, he's only responded once, telling me that he has to work as much as possible before he gets laid off. 

As much as I love him, I can't tell if this is still going in the right direction or if I should end things.
