Breast pump?

Super excited to be purchasing my first breast pump this weekend. Can you mommies help me out with experience which brand would be great? Thanks very much appreciated.🤗

Im looking to get a Medela through my insurance.  Check with your insurance if you have it.  Some provide a pump.

I got the Spectra 2 through my insurance after reading tons of good reviews on it and lots of other moms recommending it! I'm a FTM so we will see how it works but I'm excited for it!

Insurance covers them! Mine was $369 bucks through the insurance and stores but I got it for free. It's better to get the most expensive one with all the features & organization there is. I got my favorite one I looked at called the lanisoh double electric pump. It got great reviews and I have 23 different settings. I can't wait to use it!! Plus it came with extra fittings to put my bottles on it. & included 2 small bottles for baby. It was great!

If your doctor writes a prescription you may be able to get one through insurance. Ask your doctor.

Medela is an awesome company. However, I have to say my last pregnancy I got an Ameda Purely Yours through insurance and I was able to double my output. Not sure why, but always got more when I used it.

What you REALLY want to look for is adjustable settings. You want suction first and foremost adjustable (some days you want more gentle, other days rapid for quickies!) And then speed. Most electric pumps have both.

Also, look at what brands have replacement parts (especially valves!) And how easy they are to come by. And tubing. Get extra tubing.

I had a single electric travel pump made by evenflo that I got at target for under $40. It was amazing and one of the best purchases ever!!! I used it more than my double electric.

I found a generic hand held one worked the best for my first pregnancy, i used the medela and it seriously is the best. We are definetly going to buy that this time round, it was expensive but truely worth it the amount of milk I was able to produce.
