What size clothing are you buying for baby?

I know they grow so fast but I also don't want her swimming in everything I buy. Are you guys buying Newborn, 0-3 months or 3 mths ?

I've bought newborn and 0-3 months.  Depending on the weight estimate at my growth scan and when he'll be delivered I may also get a few 'tiny baby' size things just in case. Yes they grow out of things relatively quickly,  but baby clothes are inexpensive and I think it's worth it to have things that fit well. My SIL always had her son in stuff that was too big to start then kept using clothes after they were outgrown and it looked awful and uncomfortable.

I was 9lbs and my husband was 11 lbs so sounds like 0-3 maybe best.

All of the above. We were gifted alot of newborn plus we need sleepers, one sues and I'm small so if I birth anytjing bigger than a 6.5 pound baby I'm screwed.

My son was born at 6-11 and was in newborn for 2 mos. I'm assuming my daughter will be similar. So I'm gonna grab probably 7 NB sleepers, 7 short sleeve onesies and 7 long sleeved onesies. Then from there I'll do 0-3!

0-3 and 3 months are the same size. Just certain brands use one vs the other but according to size charts they are the same. Ive bought both nb and 3 month. My firstborn could fit nb for a month or so and 3 month for 3-4 months. He was born at 6 lb 10 oz. If bigger babies(8-9 lbs)  run in your family then maybe buy just a few nb.

So with my son i bought newbor-3mo. However he was sooooooo big. 9lbs and 23in he only fit in a 0-3 so all the cutsie newborn clothes never got worn.
