HEART BURN!!!!:( home remedies! ?

My heartburn has been extremely bad! I don't know what to do for it. I've tried tums , milk, water! Nothing helps and it's keeping me up all night.. what are some home remedies?

My obgyn told me Zantac over the counter is safe while pregnant. I take the off brand version ranitidine though

In addition to the other suggestions above, you can also try papaya enzyme supplement capsules (taken either prescriptively or preventively) or try a mixture of a couple table spoons of apple cider vinegar with a glass of water and drink it about an hour before meals. I haven't tried the papaya enzymes yet but the apple cider vinegar has been surprisingly helpful for my heartburn. Good luck!

Take a little drink of vinegar, I have serious indigestion issues and it almost always works. It sounds weird cause you think vinegar is acidic? But it will balance the PH in your tummy! If that doesn't work get Prilosec OTC. I'm prescribed omeprazole 40mg cause like I said I have serious issues with it but I'll usually do the vinegar cause it works instantly and I'm trying to take as little medications as possible.

I've been chewing minty gum or a life saver. Drinking cold water with them takes out the heartburn for me. Good luck!

Zantac helps. I also find gaviscon helps a little bit more than tums does. It does suck though. I get it so bad, and nothing really helps me completely 😒

Almond milk helped me and it sounds counterintuitive but water with lemon juice. Lemon is alkaline when you digest it.
