Acupuncture and ttc???

Anyone tried it? Does it help? I'm literally willing to try anything at this point......

Sorry, long answer to a short question.  We did IVF w/ICSI to conceive our first child, and went through the acupuncturist recommended by our fertility clinic.  I saw him three times, once before ovulation/egg retrieval, once before embryo transfer and once after transfer.  Embryo transfer took and subsequent healthy pregnancy resulted in DS1.  DS2 was conceived naturally when I was about 8mos PP.  I saw the same acupuncturist about 2 weeks after my period returned after DS1 self-weaned.  So it was probably very close to ovulation anyway.  About 4 weeks later I took a pregnancy test because my period was way late--I thought maybe it was just weird from having a kid but no, I was actually pregnant and absolutely astounded.  I went to the acupuncturist that day, and maybe two more times in that first trimester.  No clue if it helped in either pregnancy, but definitely didn't hurt.  I say go for it.  You have to try everything (I just responded to posts about Pre-seed lube--use it too!)  And don't give up hope!!!  I know it's hard not to, but without hope the journey gets very dark.  Because relaxing is pretty much out he question when you are stressed about getting pregnant, the other best advice I took was to watch funny shows. Laughter truly was a godsend.  And yoga.  (Do it) And pineapple core. (Eat it)  And eat/do whatever else the fuck makes you happy!

My friend has endometriosis and tried it after surgery and swears it is why she is pregnant.

Also, if you are trying to regulate your period, Vitex (chasteberry) can help.  I had read about it online and picked some up at the health food store, and started it on the first day of my period.  It is a daily supplement with a long history of being used for women's health and not too expensive.  But the directions say you should discontinue if you get a BFP. Femiprin (by Nature's Way) is a Vitex + B12 supplement that was good for me too.  Whichever supplement you use, you have to remember to take daily for Vitex to build up in and regulate your system.  I'm not a doctor so don't take this as medical advice, but my friend's naturopath recommended Vitex to regulate her periods and mood swings and she's also feeling benefits.  See a naturopath for more details if you have access to one.  Good luck to you!

I think it helped me. I was going casually like once or twice a month for the past 9 months and nothing was happening. My acupuncturist told me I should start going once a week and twice during my fertile week. Well that's what I did and now  pregnant. Also did yoga, cleaned up my diet, lost 15 lbs and ate the pineapple. And preseed every time.

Sorry I just wanted to add that now that I'm ttc I wish I could do it! My flexible spending ran out and I can't afford to do it anymore 😔

I had it to help regulate my period. It worked 2 out of the 4 months I did it so not sure
