Zika testing??

I was tested for Zika almost 6 weeks ago after traveling to the Carribean. I still don't have the results and it's really getting frustrating. I was originally told 2-3 weeks. I'm feeling like they are lost but the doctors office said the test is still in processing. Has anyone else been tested and if so, how long did it take to get your results?

I got tested because we went to Jamaica and I didn't know I was pregnant. The results took 5 1/2 weeks but I had to call to follow-up. I would definitely be proactive and call to find out if the results are back. They might be just sitting in your folder or something, unfortunately.

i haven't but a friend of mine who went to Mexico was told 8-12 weeks for her results

I was tested right after I found out I was pregnant around June.... My husband had been to Brazil, and we had both been to Mexico. The results only took a couple weeks, but I imagine it probably has to do with test processing, the state/area you live in, and demand for the test at the time. I wouldn't worry but definitely keep following up! The peace of mind is worth it. :)

Were you tested just because you went to the carribean or because you got bitten by a mosquito? I'm going on a cruise those weekend but don't plan on getting off the ship at the ports.
