Confused??

Question

So I'm on birth control, and I have been consistently since March/April. I did not get my period in July and now I didn't get it in August either. I'm technically 2 weeks late from my second missed period. I've taken 6 pregnancy tests and every single one came up negative. I'm not sure if I should be worried or what... How many missed periods is too many while on birth control?

I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms either. Just some lower back pain, but I think that's from sitting all day with my desk job. 
I'm just confused and if anyone has some advice, I'm all ears.

I have been on BC for 7 years. A few years ago, I talked to my doc about skipping periods. It's completely fine, you don't actually need to have one. You probably don't need to worry, but you can get a doc's advice if you want.

If you've taken so many tests, I doubt you are pregnant. Some girls don't get their periods or only occasionally get them while on BC, especially if they already had light periods prior. But your concern is definitely valid. I would be under a lot of stress if I was on a pill that stopped me from having a regular period. If you can, maybe you could try a different type of pill and see if you have your period more regularly.

Lots of girls have patchy periods, they come and go. It can be related to lots of different things such as lifestyle, stress, hormone levels ect 
Generally the pill is for contraception but some users take it to regulate their period. So it's a little strange to not be having it since starting the pill! Maybe go to your doctor and try a new pill or find the source of your missing periods. Good luck!
