Mastitis?

I'm feeling pain on the top of my left breast and there is a small bump. It's not the engorgement feeling either. I'm ebf my daughter. Could this be mastitis? If so, is there anything I can do now to cure it or do I need to get on antibiotics right away?

I found a lump in my left breast about a week ago and it had a red spot around it. It was very sensitive so I called my OB. I told her my symptoms and she was 50/50 on it. Because I didn't have a fever and felt fine she was unsure but thought it could be the start of it. So she prescribed me antibiotics that are safe for breastfeeding and I've seen daily improvement. Still a tender spot but not as red and not as tender as before.

I would say call the doctor and ask them. I had mastitis with my second son ( he was born early and in the NICU so I had to pump. You are more likely to get mastitis when you pump) and somehow the infection got in my blood and I had to be hospitalized. Because of that I don't mess around when it comes to possible mastitis.
