Bruised nipples?

Anyone have to exclusively pump and have sore nipples that look bruised???? If so WHAT HELPS😭 they hurt and I'm almost ready to throw in the towel! But I REALLY don't want too!!!!!

Yep, change your flange size. The only time my nipples hurt was when I had the wrong size flanges.

Also make sure you do not have the suction to high on the pump ... I was doing that thinking it was giving me more milk and my nipples were sore as ever... I've turned down the intensity of the suction and now my nipples aren't sore... You can also put some of your breast milk on your nipples .. Let them air dry before putting on a bra and that should help... Maybe skip a pump session to give your nipples a rest and then start fresh ... Hope that helps ...

I've tried 19, 21, 24, and 25. 19 way to small and I don't get much out. 21 I get a good amount from left but not right. I've been using the 24 on the right while the 21 is on the left. 21 on left I don't get much either and it takes to much in. And 25 is to big on both. With the 21 tho my left one eventually hits the end of the tub

It shouldn't hurt like that, definitely change flange size and use coconut oil on your nipples before pumping, it creates a good suction. Don't use lanolin, it contains pesticides and you don't want that in the milk.

I exclusively pump and my nipples are sore from time to time. I just apply nipple cream 'lanolin'.
I've been going strong and baby will be 3months Sept. 3rd.

Go up a size on your flanges... that is usually the reason
