I know this sounds nuts but my 4 month old baby has been saying words like "hungry" when she wants to eat, or "hello" & will nod her head yes & no when asked a question. Is this even possible??

Well I guess you can call me crazy too cause when my daughter is hungry she cries and says Momma. I know it's not due to her knowing exactly that I'm momma. But  I am the only one equipped to feed her since she's EBF. It's cute and I jokingly brag that she's a genius to my in-laws lol. But her great-grandmother heard her do it as well.

I think anythings possible. He may not know what youre really saying but babies recognize patterns and start to copy us. And every baby starts things at a different age :)

Definitely. My three month old has said: mommy, daddy, hi, yeah, no, and oh since he was about two months old. At first I thought I was nuts but other people have heard it too.

It might be possble.. I read your post and started observing my LO.. She says ooo when she wants to poop and makes this brrr sound with her toungue when she is hungry i know this isnt a word but still and aaaa when she wants me to get up!! 
I think its something to do with what we have been saying wjen they showed signs previously.. They started making sense of it and they copied the common words or actions or facial expressions they saw us saying when responding to their cues!!

Here's a video of Chloe saying hello. This wasn't a one time thing or coincidence. She says hello all the time! Idk if she knows what it means or not, but she DOES say it back. Just like her saying "hungy" when she's hungry, I don't think she knows it's a word or what it means. But I do think she knows if she's feeling hungry & makes a certain combination of noises to say "hungy" it'll let me know what's up.
