Dreamcatchers!

I've always loved dreamcatchers, ever since I was a little girl and my mom gave me one she made to help with my nightmares. I have several of them throughout my home. Now, I consider myself spiritual, but not religious. (I know, I know. So cliche. But true.) I don't necessarily believe that my dreamcatchers magically erase my bad dreams, but I do believe in the power of energy, and they do bring me comfort. 

Anyway, my best friend is a very devout Christian who attends a full gospel church. My husband and I actually went with her and her husband for a few months before deciding it wasn't for us. She has a lot of radical beliefs that I usually just shrug off, as the friendship is more important to me than religious arguments. One of her beliefs, and one that is widely shared in her church, is that dreamcatchers are demonic. This is something I had never heard of before, and I've never felt bad energy around my dreamcatchers, but it's something that bothers my friend enough that she refuses to stay at my house overnight. (They live an hour away.) 

So, I'm just curious as to what everyone's feelings are regarding dreamcatchers and similar objects! I consider myself a very open minded person and I am always interested to hear the opinions of others on topics like this.
