milk???

Question

i know it's not milk that you leak isn't it colostrum or something like that that comes out before your baby is born like when you leak, but i haven't leaked at all and ill be 38 weeks tomorrow does that mean i am not going to be able to breastfeed 😔

I breastfed for years, and never leaked pre baby. I am pregnant again, also not leaking and will breastfed a few more years LOL. It has no indication as to milk production. :)

I'm not sure how it could effect your breastfeeding negativily. They are just practicing. Practice makes perfect.

I didn't leak with my first two, and I turned into a dang dairy farm. Like a previous poster said, education is the best was to successfully breastfeed!

Some woman leak colostrum during pregnancy, some woman don't. Leaking is not by any means an indicator of how your breastfeeding journey will go.

The best thing you can do though is learn as much as you can about breastfeeding. Many are led to believe that breastfeeding is something that is supposed to be easy and come naturally to both you and baby, but that is just not the case.

Nope no correlation between leaking before hand and being better/worse at being able to breastfeed. Some women just leak and others don't.

I did leak at all with my first and breastfed with zero problems until he was 11 months (and then he started biting and I called it quits)

I leaked a tiny bit this time but hardly and have been breastfeeding for 10 weeks so far 👍🏻👍🏻

Don't base whether you'll be able to breastfeed on now. Your milk won't even come in until a couple days after you give birth, just nurse nurse nurse! 😍

It's colostrum, it can start any time during pregnancy or straight after! And no the time it starts is different for every mum and is no indication of your ability to breast feed😊

My best friend is on baby #2 and never leaked with either pregnancy. She is a MILK MACHINE!!! Seriously you should see her stock pile in her freezer!
