Leg cramps at 32 weeks ? ??anyone

Any suggestions on how to handle leg cramps ? ?  It is very painful 😂

I take magnesium supplement every day with my prenatal and I swear that's what keeps them at bay for me. If I skip any more than 2 days I get woken up in middle of night with crazy leg cramps.

I get them too. In my calves, next to my shin bone and in my feet!! Often several times a night. It's my fifth pregnancy and I've had them in every one. I've tried EVERYTHING and this is my list of what works. Drink lots of water. Drink coconut water (potassium) I have a litre a day, have a banana a day, take magnesium tablets and get magnesium oil to rub (properly massage if you can) into your legs before bed. Also do a few stretches throughout the day. They are horrible, I hope that helps. Good luck

The only thing that helped me was to flex my foot! The cramp makes you want to point it, but if you flex it it will go away faster.

If I can't get my foot to flex to release it, I quick swing my legs out of bed and place the toe of the affected leg on the ground like I'm gonna stand and it releases. I'm one of the weird ones that bananas bring the cramps ON, not off. I also think dehydration makes it happen for me.

Girl I feel you. It's to the point I've had so many Charlie horses that my calves are constantly sore. I've been trying everything, bananas, magnesium, more water. Nothing has changed yet. Good luck!!!

I got told to drink tonic water from my midwife as it's got quinine in, and that helps with cramp. I have two glasses a day (one morning, one evening) and I've not had cramp half as much as I was.

Flex your foot up towards you, in my experience if I flex down it hurts worse, and try to eat more things with more potassium. Those two things have helped me. (:
