Short period?

My husband and I have been TTC since the beginning of July. I'm on my 3rd cycle since starting.... This past cycle I was convinced that I was pregnant. I felt things that I didn't remember feeling before. For example I had a pain in my left side for a few days (way too late in the cycle for ovulation), my forehead got super greasy, and my boobs were KILLING me. I tom a test a few days before my period was due and it was negative. Then my period came, as scheduled, this Monday. But the weird thing is, it only lasted less than 2 days! It usually lasts exactly 3 days, like clock-work. I just thought this was very strange. I don't know if this is just my body still adjusting to being off the pill (I've been off since May) or if it means something or nothing at all lol
