IUD and pregnant with live baby?

Can I hear some IUD and pregnant stories where the baby survives please? My friend just found out she's pregnant and she has the IUD mirena. She's knows it's dangerous and I'm just trying to keep her calm. How was the IUD removed? How is it different than a normal pregnancies? Any other complications? Just want some full blown detailed stories please

I am currently pregnant with paragard (iud) 22 weeks and 4 days tomorrow. By the time I found out they couldn't pull the string. So it's still inside. In the beginning it was rocky because of mc was a higher rate. Now every month I have to get an ultrasound to make sure it's not interfering with the baby. But my pregnancy/baby is growing on track and healthy. Only had morning sickness lol p.s my doctor isn't worried or has said anything bad

My cousins girlfriend got pregnant on the iud because it had shifted or something and they have a healthy daughter. Good luck to your friend!

I would worry about the hormones that are going to be in her body still. I'm assuming there would be a larger chance of miscarriage  due to the hormones that will still be left over.  But if she got pregnant with it maybe her body has a great ability to produce plenty of progesterone.
