Ovulation calculation wrong?

Question

I always thought ovulation was 14 days past the first day of your last period? 
According to Glow, it scheduled my ovulation week only 10 days past. Same goes for next month....and my CM hasn't been EGCM and hardly watery, but I'm supposed to be ovulating right now?
I'm really confused because next month is when my husband and I talked about trying again, for our rainbow baby.

I think it's just give a few extra day just to "be safe" glow said mine didn't start till 8/25 I took opk tests Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning all negative Low fertility. I took another tonight and it showed high fertility. When I put that in Glow it changed my fertility window to starting back on Monday even though I got neg test results. Id just take opk tests religiously .

It's best to use opk to be sure. Never depend on the glow calendar it's just an estimate based on what you log and if people don't log religiously it just estimates.

It all depends on how long your cycles are. Every woman is different. We all don't ovulate on day 14
