Ovulate with IUD?

I have the Mirena IUD and I've onky had it since end of may. I've had one period with it but I'm currently having what feels like ovulation pain. So I have some left over clear blue digital (the one with the smiley face) sticks so I just took one and it shows peak surge with the smiley face. If you ovulate with the iud does that mean there's a chance I could get pregnant right now? Me and dh had sex last night and I never worried about it with the pill cuz I know I've taken it but the iud is just placed there right. I know how it works and how well it works but still. Is it normal to ovulate while having an iud? I know for some women it stops ovulation altogether...

No you still ovulate when you have the IUD in. Our body's are meant to release the eggs in our bodies. Some girls have the symptoms and some girls don't, it just depends on how you body wants to react with the IUD in. You should not be worried unless you are having abnormal discharge that smells and looks abnormal.

You can ovulate on the Mirena (I have) but it works by thinning the uterine lining so pregnancy doesn't occur in addition to stopping ovulation in many cases. It's normal and still effective! You're safe! No worries!
