birth control leading to depression?,

I've recently started taking birth control for the first time. I have a couple pills left of the first packet. And I'm seeing signs of depression and major mood swings... I don't know if it's my body just adjusting to it. Or if I need to get a different hormone balance... Please comment (:

The same thing happenned to me. By the time I was almost done with the first packet my depression symptoms dissappeared! Give it time and see if it works for you

Bc can increase chances of depression or depressive thoughts.. Although if its just mood swings id stick it out theyll go down after a couple months on the pill once your body regulates if your depressed and werent before (or more then you were before) or are having thoughts of suicide id contact your doctor and talk about a switch they have many different pills with different levels of hormones and such they could give you a lower dose
