Scared of being addicted....
I had a pilonidal cystectomy on May 5, 2016. Since then I have been off and on pain killers (oxycodone, tramodol, hydrocodone). I was told I'd be healed in 2-3 weeks after but it ended up being up until this point. It had to be reopened a couple of times because my surgeon was unhappy with the way it was healing. It is now August and I'm trying to get back to my normal life. I fear that my anxiety is due to withdrawal from my pain medications. I've been doing yoga and trying to workout to get my body back to normal, since I haven't been able to do anything, really since my surgery. I am educated on substance abuse because I am a Human Services major, working on my second degree. I really just want advice (other than rehab) on how to fight the anxiety. I'm thinking I have anxiety because of getting back to normal life without that crutch. I am 22 years old and I am a female. This anxiety has also put a large strain on my relationship with my fiancé. I've also talked to him and my loved ones about this. Please no judgement and just advice. Thank you in advance.
