3 hour road trip at 37 weeks?

My MIL wants to take a family road trip to gatlinburg, which is about 3 and 1/2 hours from home. I plan on speaking to my doctor at my next visit. But what do y'all think?

Nope! I had my first at 38 weeks.  That is way too close to due date.

That's 6 hours in the car PLUS you're supposed to get up and walk around every hour for circulation.

Unless there's something life changing in Gaitlenburg I would skip it! Unless you love being swollen and in pain, far away from your hospital.

It'll end up being a lot longer than 3 1/2 hours, because of all of the stops for the bathroom and walking around.

My doctor has told me I'm only allowed to go 1 hour away in any direction that late in my pregnancy. Which is a bummer because I have a work conference that I'm helping to plan and I can't even go. 😭

I don't recommend it. 37 on is considered full term and your bundle of joy can come at any time. Plus think of all the sitting you'll have to do and any leg cramps. I couldn't do it.

Anytime after 36 weeks is probably a bad idea. Unless you're ok with going to any hospital to give birth of you go into labor. I really want to be at my hospital with the doctors I already know and who know my medical history.

Fuck no!!! Fing horrible!! 
At 30 weeks IV done 22 hour road trip twice. I was going to Fing kill someone. The drive to an from the beach house ruined our whole trip. We also have a toddler who hates the car who cried the whole way. It killed my back and caused horrible swelling and my midwive told me I need to see a doc asap. I will never do long drive again pregnant.
