FREAKING OUT

Caitlyn
Moms, i am 11 weeks with my second. During my first labor and delivery i got an epidural when i was at a 4. The epidural was not done correctly until the 5th time. (It still didnt work right) but when i was getting the epidural i kept getting shocked down one leg and then the other. Like he was hitting nerves. Finally it was kind of right. After 10 or so minutes only my right side was numb. Then it all quit working. I labored naturally for 30 hours then pushed for 4 hours. The baby wasnt coming out and i was crying with exhaustion. I finally got a c-section and i got a spinal tap instead. It took him 3 times to do it, and still it would shock my legs. It didnt fully work again so they had to put me under... They also had to do my spinal tap higher which made me feel like i could not breathe.. And i couldnt! (They found it wasnt working after i screamed a time or 2.) Anyways.. I am so scared this time that i will have the same issues.. I will do a c-section this time. But i am so scared.. And i just want to know if anybody has had a similar situation.. Or any advice.. I had such a mean nurse.. I have alot to say.. Sorry.. Help a scared mama out.

Oh I know how you feel!! I labored for 20 something hours, didn't dilate past 4 cm so they took me for a c section. They didn't get the spinal right either and had to put me under. I can't remember much about that day. Maybe my brain is protecting me by blocking it all out lol. I remember being in alot of pain and them having to try it a few times before they decided to just put me out bc I had had enough. I woke up in the recovery room, heard my baby crying and was in so much pain. It was so bittersweet. I got to hold her for the few minutes I was awake then I passed back out. I was heavily medicated. I'm terrified for this experience. I'm overweight so I'm wondering if it was bc of the extra fat that they couldn't get the spinal right. If that's the case, what if the same thing happens?? Ahh. Don't worry you're not the only one scared here. If you want to talk more I'm here. :)

it really is. I hemorrhaged alot after the c section too. so much. they were changing the pads underneath me on the bed so often. I remember being on the toilet trying to poop and just passing blood clots the size of golf balls. it was so scary. I had to had two blood transfusions and was in the hospital for 5 days. I keep wondering if I should try v bac since my ob approved me for one. but I'm also scared that I'll go through all that pain and labor just to have to have another c section. Oh man. I'm 25 weeks and it seems so close now with august coming to an end.
