Me and my fiancé live together. We both work full time but we aren't on brilliant wages (with proper budgeting we are comfortable don't get me wrong) and he earns more than me. We split the rent and everything else is pretty much even, except he pays just a little more because he earns more than me (we agreed on this before we moved in together) so am I right in thinking that this sort of thing such a saving a budgeting is supposed to be a team effort? I don't wanna be telling him what he can and can't spend his money on but when I'm like hard core cutting back and he's buying new shoes, it gets to me. It makes me feel like I'm the only one trying. Now it's a week before payday, we both have hardly any money, and he's mad because I can't help him out even though I have virtually nothing!
