I recently started taking Lo Loestrin Fe, 1mg/10mcg. I know you're supposed to start it the day of your period or Sunday after, but my nurse practitioner requested that I start it the upcoming Sunday. My appointment was on Thursday, August 18th. I took my first pill Sunday, August 1st. I was supposed to get my period today, but it's a no show. I didn't feel any PMS symptoms. I don't feel sick, crappy, tired, or different body wise. I do get an occasional twinge in different areas of my body. Mood wise, I've felt much calmer (not complaining though).

Is this normal? Is it really possible for the pills to start working after only taking 4 (working as in changing the cycle, not protection)? Should I get in touch with my NP?

*I do plan on taking 3 pregnancy tests within the next several days to be sure that I'm not pregnant.

I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks!
