First ultrasound?

Do you typically have an ultrasound done at your first appointment or what....? I have no clue what to expect at a first appointment. I have a nurse consult the week before, where they take blood, I know that much - and then the first doc visit will be at 8 wks exactly.

Unless something is wrong, like if u had previous Mc or ectopic, the first appt is a nurse appt, blood work and paperwork and initial check up, vitals weight and sometimes a pap... the at 12 weeks is the first ultrasound and talking to dr. Every office is different thou. It won't hurt to call and ask.

Usually first appointment is with a nurse to get vitals and do paperwork. Second is with doctor and you get to hear heartbeat. It depends on the office though

I think it depends on your doctor and your age. I had an ultrasound done at my first visit. Definitely made it more real 🙂

Every doctor is different. My last time I had blood work done right away then at 8 weeks a ultrasound. I have a new doctor and this time I don't go in to see the doctor till I'm 10 weeks.
