Hello, anyone that could give me great tips for IVF?

I'm starting my IVF process first weekish (when AF comes) of September and I'm anxious, nervous, excited. This is my first IVF after failed IUIs!!!! 😑 Going to do IVF with ICSI.

Looking for tips, success stories, love!

Just set reminders in your phone or write down when you need to do what. It can get overwhelming with all the steps, but being organized makes it easy. I just set reminders in my phone for each morning and night I need to take meds for the full cycle.

The same advice can be said for when you're actually having a baby but don't plan too far ahead. The process can change or the Drs recommendations can change depending how you're responding to the meds. This includes for fresh Vs frozen transfer. For some (like me) they respond better to fresh and others respond better to frozen. What you do will probably depend how you're going after egg collection- if you're over stimulated it can be better to wait a cycle or 2 before transferring.

We did a fresh transfer and it worked a treat. We got pregnant that first cycle with a fresh transfer. We've done 2 frozen transfers without any luck so are doing a fresh cycle now in the hope of conceiving baby #2.

I remember nurse told me to drink lots of water or Gatorade stay hydrated cause ur on lots of meds

Im not sure if I'll be doing a fresh transfer of frozen... Im scared to do fresh heard it's not that great

We had unexplained infertility.  At first, we attempted an IUI but because I produced so many eggs (18!) it would have been very risky to continue.  Therefore, in the middle of the cycle we switched to IVF.  The fresh cycle was not successful for us and I feel it was because my body was under so much duress from all the drugs and egg retrieval process.  With our first frozen embryo transfer we had the doctor place 2 perfect blastocysts in me.  Luckily we did because one ended up not making it after the 6 week mark.  Right now, I am 31w4d with a baby girl and everything is going great.  I think after baby is a year old I will be ready for another transfer since we still have 2 handfuls of frozen embryos. Try not to get upset if the fresh cycle doesn't work.  I've heard that frozen cycles have just as high, or even higher, rate of success because the body has had some time to heal and to accept the blastocyst.  Good luck and hope you get what you want!
