Birth Control Affecting Period??

Question

I'm a couple days late on my period (2 to be exact) but I just started birth control this month. do you think that could why it's late?  (I'm not too worried about being pregnant since the last time I had sex was 3 months ago and he had a condom on)

Everytime i went on the pill after a few cycles my period would cease altogether then it took months of going off the pill for it to return to normal. My dr said most women are pleased to have no period and that the pill is just very strong for my hormones but i didn't like not getting it so i no longer take it. End of the day its not a health issue as such so i wouldn't worry but if u find it disappears u can always try a lower strength pill if u dont mind getting ur periods :))

Your bleeding can be irregular the first few months youre on the pill
