Sudden Period changes

All of my life I've had light periods that only last 1-3 days mostly spotting and very consistent as far as timing... The last few months I have either been late or early. This month comes around and on day one I was bleeding heavy and thru the night I poured blood more then I have my entire life. On day two I'm bleeding heavy enough to wear a tampon and I've never been able to wear tampons.. Wtf is going on. I am honestly starting to worry
