Annoying neighbor.

So I went off on the neighbor today. Her 3 year old great grandson was wandering our property on his own again. She said "Well I would rather have him wandering your property than head to the highway, what's the harm in that anyways?"

I said this to her...

"How can you let a 3 year old wander our of your sight knowing there is a creek running through both of our backyards, that you have a lake on your property, that they could walk out towards the highway in their own? I will not be held responsible for your screw ups if he wanders over here again I will call CPS because I will not be held responsible if something happens to him on my property."

Was I too harsh? I dont like to be a bitch but I am not cool with an adult who is older and "wiser" than me allowing a young child to randomly wander off into someone else's property. Yes I get that she doesn't want him to go towards the highway but going towards a creek is also dangerous as well.
