longer period???

so I started the minipill on the fifth of August and my period started on the 23rd. usually it's about 4-5 days long. it's going on 6. it's not particularly heavy, light but not light enough to just wear a liner. does the pill make the first period you have on it particularly longer than normal? I'm going to see my bf next Friday and kinda don't wanna ruin the "fun" planned lol by my "period". thanks!
