Local "hole in the wall" restaurants

Im adding anonymously so my husband cant see this. My husband and I have been married for 1 year (next month) and this anniversary is the "paper anniversary" and someone gave me the idea of making a dining passport with places we want to eat at that we've never been to (or only 1 of us have been to) we are in southeast Missouri and I'm needing ideas to add to our list of places to eat! They can be anywhere in the US, since we love to travel. The more hidden and unknown it is, the better! I'm not using any chain restaurants, so none of those please :)
