Screaming at bath time

My daughter is eight months old and I felt comfortable enough in her ability to sit up to have a bath without the baby bathtub. The first few days she loved it but yesterday she was clinging to me before I put her in and she screamed once she was in the water. The water was definitely not too hot, she doesn't have a butt rash, or a fever. I know that she is teething and she has a bug bite on her foot (shown in the picture). Any ideas why she is all of a sudden screaming at bath time? Thanks!
