How many months?

If I am 27 weeks pregnant and due November 23, how many months am I 6/7? I think I'm considered 6 because many moms don't complete 9 months when their babies are born right? Aren't you usually 8 months and some weeks?

You are about 6 months and 1 week pregnant. You turn 6 months after 26 completed weeks.
Due dates are at around 9 months and a week (=40 weeks since your LMP), so you're a week into your 7th month and are 3 months away from your estimated delivery date.

I'd say 6 months and 1 week. Every 3 months is almost precisely 13 weeks (that's how we end up with 52 weeks in a year ... and in card decks ;-)). And 9 months is 39 weeks.

I look at it this way: Going by your (sometimes very much adjusted) LMP, pregnancy is 40 weeks. Going by when you actually conceived, which is 2 weeks after your adjusted LMP, pregnancy is actually just 38 weeks. So the amount of time you are actually pregnant is one week short of 9 months - the number of weeks that are counted (for traditional reasons I presume) is one week more than 9 months. So saying that pregnancy is 9 months is a compromise between reality and tradition ;-)
