I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow morning and yesterday they noticed he had high blood pressure in his umbilical cord and admitted to the hospital for observation. Then today they did another scan and found that the pressure had increased some in the cord and also that he had increased blood flow to his brain signifying that he is struggling to get nutrients and that the placenta may not be working well anymore. So they started steroids to mature his lungs, I received my first dose today and will receive the second dose tomorrow, depending on the results of the scan tomorrow morning they may take him, the earliest they would do that is Sunday 24 hrs after the second dose of steroids. From week 16 till week 29 he was measuring two weeks ahead and doctor had predicted him being over 8lbs if he made it to due date. I started dropping at 30 weeks (Nicholas is my 5th kid) and I believe that is when things may have changed with him. At 27weeks he was measured weighing 2 & 1/2 lbs and this morning they measured him weighing only 3lbs 10 Oz's (he is in the 17th percentile) we are a little scared but I know he is in good hands and that he is such a fighter his Daddy said.
