How long did you wait to have sex after birth?

I'm missing my husband and I am 5 weeks pp. I did tear and I feel that it's healed. What do you guys think? Thanks :)

You're supposed to wait 6 weeks unless your dr gives you the go ahead beforehand.

I'm 11 weeks postpartum and haven't had sex yet because I've still been bleeding. I have to have a D&C for retained placenta Monday.

I always have sex same day (don't care if you believe me) but with 8kids and 17pregnancys (miscarriages) you get use to it. I also don't have hospital births now

We tried at just under 3 weeks but positions were limited since my incision was still sore (c section). So it wasn't that great. We started again at about 4 1/2 weeks and it was perfect. I was told to wait until the bleeding stopped and to use protection.

Personally I didn't tear but I did gain myself a few very major V shaped labial grazes right down the bottom!! We tried around 3/4 weeks but it just hurt way too much even though the physical grazes had healed.. You may think your tears have healed up and are long gone, but the skin down there is still sensitive and damaged to a degree, and friction is a whole load of sex if you're still even a little bit sore!! Saying that we tried again at 5.5 weeks and everything was great😆 just don't rush it too soon because it leaves you feeling like you've just had the baby again!😩
