Do you register for baby furniture or do you buy it your self?

I used my registry like a shopping list, I put down everything I wanted to get, and then after the shower I bought the stuff that wasn't given as gifts. Worked great. Especially since I used the babylist website which lets u register for multiple stores on one website.

Only register for it if it is at Babies R Us because they give you 10% cash back on items you anyone purchases.  But then buy it yourself.  Registry items should be less than $100, with several items between $10-$25.

I registered everything not necessarily so people would buy it but because most stores will give you coupons for wtv wasn't purchased on your registry and those come in handy!

If you put every single thing you'll need on a registry, whatever is not purchased, you can purchase with a discount for it being on the registry. Keep in mind that a lot of the ppl voting on this poll are from places in the world that don't believe in baby showers and feel that parents shouldn't expect anyone to bring gifts for baby to a party😒

Probably both. I will certainly put it on my registry but I don't necessarily expect it all to be bought for me.

Anything I'm not gifted I will buy(with the extra registry completion discount).

Im in Australia, we dont do the baby register thing here. That said, family and the girls i worked with bought me a lot of things, and the work girls threw me a baby shower (we do those here) which was fun

Mine was neither but I put registered because my parents bought the furniture. They did that for my sisters as well. So I picked it out and then they bought it.

Register and then buy it when nobody else does.  Most registries offer a completion discount after a certain amount of time so it's a sneaky way to save a little money ☺️

I registered for all of it but my parents plan to buy must of the furniture for. It's just easier to put it on the registry so they know what we want. Also we get a 15% completion discount 8 weeks before my due date so we can buy anything that wasn't purchased for a discount. There are plenty of cheap items on there for friends to buy.
