When to start pill?

So I'm 6weeks pp and had my check up with the doctor on Wednesday.  She gave prescription for the pill but I'm not sure when to start it? Do I start now or wait for my period?

Some can affect your milk flow I believe, but Ive got the all clear to go back in the mini pill at 6 weeks

I started it right after I picked it up. I think I messes up my cycle a bit though.

If you are EBF, I would go ahead and start, because there's no telling when your period will return. I'm almost 5 mos pp, and no sign. But if you're easily annoyed like me, you may want to wait till Sunday to start. I hate having to change the dial each month!
