How does Frederick sound?

I'd love to call my baby Federico, or Frederick, like my brother. But we live in London now - and I really don't know how the name "sounds" in English. Does it have any connotations? What does it bring to mind? Please help, honest feedback is welcome!!!! :)

By 'in english', you mean 'with a british dialect', right? I think britains are more likely to pronounce Fredrick with a long 'e' sound--Like, Freedrick. Having a lot of UK friends, this is how I think they'd say it.
