Free baby stuff?

So I keep seeing all sort of things about getting cheap to free baby stuff especially diapers... Has anyone personally done this and does it really work? Is it time consuming and is it worth the time?

The only free stuff I have received is from registering for my baby shower. Got a gift back from both target and babies r us. In the bags there was one bottle from each store, pacifiers, a few newborn diapers, wipes, samples, and coupons! Definitely worth it in my opinion and completely free.

I've looked at a lot of the "free" stuff you've probably seen. Most requires you to pay shipping that ranges from $5-15. So sometimes you're just paying for the item anyway. Others are want you to do surveys and other offers and crap that may land you with a computer virus. The most easy reliable free stuff is the gifts from doing registries. Making the registry takes a little while if you're really looking. Or you can just add a bunch of stuff and see what else needs to be done to get freebies like someone buying  $10+ off the list or whatever. I got my amazon box already and will pick up my target when I go next month.

I've only gotten free items from stores for creating registries. I do always go online and find a coupon for diapers and wipes before I shop. I also use Target Cartwheel.

I am in the USA and I got some free formula I am not sure what I am going to do with it.... Cause I am breast feeding.... They said I could get free diapers or formula.... I was hopeing to get the free diapers....

A lot of places offer free samples and stuff for baby! I'm in Canada so we have enfamil, shoppers drug mart sends a baby box, and I've gotten quite a few packs of diapers from Huggies at no cost at all!
