Do you have rules?

When you have the baby. What rules are you putting in order? For the birth and when you go home, if any at all? Like I want NO pictures on the internet until I have had a chance to announce our baby girl myself. After that anyone can post pictures at any time. And I ask that people ask before they visit. Other than that I have nothing else that I request. But I know a lot of Mommies have more. So what are your rules?

Agree with the pictures, and visitors rule. Also with the picture rule i dont want any pics posted at all even after i announce birth unless i see them and approve first. My sister had an issue of everyone coming in to visit and taking intimate pics of her, like pics of her breastfeeding without her approval and then posting them online. She was pissed and i would be too. Thats a private and intimate experience with baby

My biggest is no visitors until I have showered, eaten, rested, and fed baby. I agree with the no pictures until we've announced. We are also limiting who visits in the hospital to our parents and siblings. I don't want any of our nieces and nephews visiting while we're in the hospital since school will be in full cold/flu season at the time.

We want the same as you. Nobody posting pictures until husband and I have decided to do so. Also, nobody besides husband, daughter, and I will be holding baby boy for the first 5 days of his life. I want a bond between us and I don't want or like the thought of him being passed around to a thousand new people as soon as he is born. Not to mention, random friends won't be able to correctly identify nursing/hunger cues. Ugh I just want to be selfish with my baby for a few days. He's only going to be this little for so long.

With my son, everyone posted pictures before I was even out of recovery because I had an Emergency C Section and when I got to the room I was so excited to announce only to see multiple family members already had. 😑

If you come to visit you must do a house chore lol load the dishes in the dishwasher, fold a load of laundry or bring a dish cuz I'll have a csection....

My rules...whooping cough vaccine if you're around him a lot and don't expect me to be at your house with family members who have traveled on planes for Thanksgiving. Right in the beginning of flu season. Nope. Not happening!!

1-No visitors at the hospital until we call and then only the invited people will be allowed, no tag a longs or kids.

2-No posting photos of baby until we say it's okay, also NO naked pictures of baby on the internet period. You never know if you've got a pervert on your friends list that just took screenshots of my naked child. It's sick to have to think that way but unfortunately it's the truth.

3-Once we're home,NO unannounced visiting. It'll be a huge adjustment period for us and we'd like our private time. It's not that hard to call first.

4-Smokers must change clothes and wash face since last cigarette before touching baby.

5-Everyone washes and sanitizes hands upon arrival.

6-Absolutely no kissing on the mouth.

7-In the event that I must have a c-section, no one (except for his daddy and hospital staff of course) can visit/hold baby before me. I carried this child and I will not have that moment taken from me.

1. Smokers are not allowed around her, if smoked recent. Lucky for us, none of our close friends and relatives smoke.
2. Hands must be washed or sanitized before touching her, to many germs.
3. No pictures are allowed on social media until mommy and daddy both post our own. We want to announce her arrival!
4. Only siblings, grandparents, godparents, and two close friends are allowed to visit in the hospital.
5. No pop up visits once we're home, CALL first!
6. LASTLY. ABSOLUTELY NO KISSING ON HER FACE!!!!

No smokers. If they want to be in my house to see this child they will have brushed their teeth, washed their hands and hair and changed their clothing. 
That's pretty much all I've got. 
Oh and the first person to say a word about "oh he's hungry might need to go buy him a bottle" will have something heavy launched towards their head.
