I'm on the birth control pill and I have unprotected sex. The week of sugar pills, is your chance of getting pregnant if you have sex those days any greater?

Short answer: No, you can't get pregnant. You're protected for as long as you take the pill correctly.
Long answer: The pill basically completely messes up your reproductive system in three ways. It thickens your mucus so sperm has difficulty travel, it stops you from ovulating so an egg isn't released, and it thickens the uterine lining so IF an egg happens to get fertilized it can't be implanted. The sugar pills are there to allow for a "period" (withdrawal bleeding) but since your hormones have been altered you're still protected during this time.
