First period after getting IUD

I had my IUD placed last Tuesday, so it has been 5 days altogether. I bled the first day, had a little spotting early in the second and then was done bleeding. Today I started bleeding again full force, but it felt like a period and less like I was just bleeding from opening my cervix. I say that because I am 5 weeks postpartum, so more so I feel like the bleeding is much more period-like than my postpartum bleeding had been. I was feeling that vaginal ache feeling and a little bit of cramping, much like the cramps I would have once in awhile when I would get my period before. Should I count this as the first day of my period, or is this still just strange spotting from having my Skyla placed? Curious how this compares to others experiences. I am a first time IUD user, so this is all new to me.
