What is this?? Just noticed this shiny rash in my LO's elbow bends. Any ideas???

I'd put some aquaphor in there. It looks like that's from chaffing where the rolls haven't been dried enough. I had to do that with my daughter because the skin started peeling!

Looks like the skin is raw where the crease hasn't been dried and so it's gone sore

Is it effecting the inside crease of the elbow or around it? If it's around the crease it could be a contact rash or from not drying properly after bathing. If it's effecting the crease it could be eczema. Best to see a Dr for it. My daughter had a rash on the back of her knee that kept spreading and I used calendula on it but it wasn't working so I took her to the clinic and she was given a steroid cream that I mixed with the calendula and it was gone in 2 days.
If it's from not drying enough after bathing dry using some corn starch or baby power (I use the baby powder with corn starch not talc) and sprinkle a bit on where the moisture sits and rub it in. I do it under my daughters chin, around the back of her neck, under her arm pits, and elbows.

My baby had this too around 3-5weeks. I would use coconut oil after bath and talc free powder between baths to keep it dry. Cleared up and he never seemed bothered by it.
