Crying when burping?

Is it normal that my baby cries and arches his back every time I try getting him to burp? He starts crying as soon as he comes off the boob and continues until he burps, sometimes even after. He's 2.5 months and has done this since he was just a few weeks old.

My 5 week old was doing this last week. Pediatrician said reflux and/or gas. We had just switched her to Similac Pro Sensitive formula and had also noticed she was making a lot of noise when eating, we switched her bottles, she’s so much happier again.
