Dock a tot? Or similar?

Do any of you own the docka tot or have something similar?

I'm torn....the dock a tot is in the $200 range. Claims to be safe and breathable to assure mom's suffocation isn't a problem when used correctly.

I have a friend who knows a lady who makes something similar and very cute in the $50 range. BUT she uses regular cotton fabric and fill. Since I've never had the actual dock a tot to see what fabrics are used I can't decided if I should splurge or save! Or if it is just safer the go the name brand route!
