paraguard?

Has anyone used Paraguard as a form of Birth Control. What did you or didn't like I get mines September 15 I need to know if there are any side effects I should be cautious of ?

I've had mine for almost a year now and I love it! 
It's so hassle free. I don't have to worry about taking pills or anything. It's just always there doing its thing. Plus it lasts 10 years so it should work until I make a decision that I'm ready to have children. 
Also IUDs in general are one of the most effective forms of birth control. I had a lot of anxiety about getting pregnant so knowing that puts me at ease. Speaking of anxiety, another reason I got Paragard as opposed to Mirena was because I'd still have my period. Even with over 99% effectiveness I know I'd still find a way to be anxious about it failing. Continuing to get my period assures me even more.
But my periods have been a bit longer since. And I have cramps more now, I never really had them before. 
Even though during the grips of a bad cramp I may find myself questioning my sanity, I think it's worth it.

No I love mine! The only thing is that you'll be hurting for a day or so after you get it, at least I did. The first couple months I had an irregular period but I hardly have one now, I got it December of last year (:

I got mine in June, and I had terrible cramps the day that I got it put in, but that's been it. My periods are a little longer, but it's great overall.

Paragard isn't for people who want shorter lighter periods. So just remember this if you get heavier longer periods it's a common thing with paragard.

The only advice if give is stock up on ibuprofen or midol. I had cramps the day I got it and my 2nd period was pretty bad with cramps and it lasted 12 days. My period has been irregular but I think it's getting back to normal. I got mine in late April.

I had mine inserted 8 weeks postpartum on November 6, 2015. I had mild cramps nothing unbearable and light bleeding. But not kidding I bled for almost 2 months off and on. I contemplated getting it taken out but my dr wasn't having it she said give it a chance... after I finally stopped bleeding I went about 2-3 weeks until my real period came, it was heavier than before I got it but that was expected. Lasted 9 days that was way longer than my normal 2-3 days. Didn't get another period for 2 months then got another 9 day period and again no period for 2 months. Finally the past 4 months have been normal once a month four day periods. The only thing I could complain about recently is randomly I have a low feeling in my tummy or whatever that I compare to when I got it inserted
