Ovulation and pain

Do any of you have experience with pain around the time you ovulate? I have had ovarian cysts problems twice before, but the pain was much more severe. This feels more like period cramps but is only on the left side of my lower abdomen. I'm wondering if this is a normal part of ovulation, or if I should be concerned. I was on mirena for five years, so it's been a really long time since I have had a normal cycle, and am still trying to figure out my cycle. Should I be concerned about ectopic pregnancy, or the mythical implantation cramps?
