Second trimester??

Okay so my app says this is my last week of my first trimester and I am 11 weeks 1 day. But I've been told 14 weeks 0 days is the second trimester. Which one is it? Haha! I don't want to announce until I'm in the second trimester. Thank you!!

Just wanted to share that I called my dr and he said 12 weeks 0 days is what Drs go by! Thanks for all of the feedback!

My midwife says 13 weeks and 3 days, but I've heard it all different times to!

When second trimester started depends on who you ask. I think the technical time is 13 weeks and 3 (or something) days. So some round down to 13 weeks and some round up to 14. Just take which on you want or if you want exactly 2nd trimester see if you can find exactly how many days in the 13 weeks. Hope that was a little helpful. It does get super confusing and you will get different weeks from everyone so I wanted to explain why you get the difference in weeks. Some people still believe 12 weeks but that changed several years ago.

We announced to family at 4 weeks and friends at 11 weeks. Do it when you're comfortable, not when society deems it ok.
