birth control. no period.

I've been on BC for over 3 years now and sometimes I don't get a period one month or for 2 months and I wasn't too worried about it. But now I feel like I should be worried about it because I mentioned it to my sister and she just looked mortified.. The last time I had sex was almost 2 mints ago and it was protected. I'm gonna take a test I guess just to eliminate that. But has anyone else just missed periods while on bc???
