is it bad to over fill the breastmilk storage bags?

I use the lansinoh bags that say 6oz but I typically fill it to 7-7.5 only when I have a small amount of milk left and I don't want to start another bag. Is that bad? I freeze them for later use... Thanks :)

Yes! They can leak later when you try to thaw and use them... I don't pack them and have had the tragedy of lost milk. :(

Learned this the hard way when I tried freezing 10oz in one bag the other day and opened the freezer the next day and there was the milk 😭

My medela and ameda brands have leaked from overfill after frozen. The bigger brands seem to hold 7 or 8 oz find in my experience because they have a lot more air room.
